Аннотация
Основываясь на опыте своей тридцатипятилетней карьеры в этнографическом поле, мы размышляем об исследованиях, в которые были вовлечены, и о том, как практика и эпистемология этнографии изменились за этот период. Мы начинаем, обращаясь к проблематике этических аспектов при проведении качественных исследований, подчеркивая не-всеобщность этических критериев, сложность применения медицинских стандартов на полевом этапе, и к вопросам, связанным с новой эрой интернет-исследований, при этом мы базируемся, в основном, на недавно осуществленном проекте интернет-этнографии самоповреждений. Затем мы обсуждаем возможности позиции «включенности» исследователя в этнографическое поле, подчеркивая напряжения, которые определяют эту позицию между противоположными полюсами включенности и объективности. Наконец, обращаемся к ситуации изменяющегося ландшафта качественного подхода: как его распространение и легитимация определяются современными общесоциологическими трендами. Завершаем мы дискуссией о том, как эпистемологические изменения в поле качественного анализа фреймируются политической, этической и междисциплинарной борьбой за гегемонию.
