Abstract
A project I started with fellow sociologists and students, in the spring of 2010, in the Department of Humanities of the Main school of agriculture in Warsaw (SGGW), has several objectives, two of which claim to be scientific.The first purpose. For example, the events of 1944/45 year in Warsaw, first of all, the entry of the red Army in the ruined city, show patterns of collective memory, such as the transformation of communicative memory into cultural memory, the dependence of the processes of perpetuation, with a multiplicity of narratives of collective memory and cultural memory — sometimes competing, sometimes parallel.The second goal. Show, «what remains of the past», what is the content of collective memory about the events of 17 January 1945. To answer the question how this memory is «divided", and how "partial».
