Abstract
In this paper author describes some transnational social spaces in the internet and fi nd answers to following questions: What kind of collective identities are built up in these transnational social spaces? How does the comparison between different countries (with different cultural and legal practices) infl uence the everyday practices of migrants from Russia in Germany? How does biographical discourse in the internet infl uence the normative notion of the biographical work? In order to answer these questions, fi rstly the theoretical background is discussed, and secondly the study is presented. Thereafter some results of the study will be critically discussed.
